On 21 November 2024, dr Piotr Gancarz from the Department of Neophilology, Institute of Philology, delivered a lecture on the topic "Nonverbal Communication in the Process of Intercultural Communication" as part of his teaching and research internship at the National Forestry University of Ukraine in Lviv.
November 2024 has proven a very active month as regards our international collaboration. Another important event took place between 3 and 7 November 2024 in Warsaw. Bringing together over 370 leading experts and specialists in nuclear energy law and nuclear safety from around the world, The Nuclear Inter Jura 2024 Congress was an extremely important event in light of the construction of first nuclear power plants in Poland.
On 14 November 2024 the Rector of Pomeranian University in Słupsk, professor Zbigniew Osadowski, hosted a delegation of the Institute operating under the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, headed by its Director, professor Oleksandr Tsereniuk.
Following the awarding of a prestigious scholarship under the SRF (Scholar Rescue Fund) programme by the American Institute of International Education (IIE) to professor Natalia Kuzovova, who conducts research at the Institute of History, Pomeranian University in Słupsk has joined an elite international group of universities supporting SRF programme beneficiaries.
In connection with the admission of Pomeranian University in Słupsk to a group of universities upholding the principles outlined in the Magna Charta Universitatum 2020 document, representatives of our University are participating in an international conference titled "Universities, Governments, and Democracy: International Challenges, Lessons Learned and Future Strategy." The event is organized by the Magna Charta Observatory in cooperation with PEN America at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center. Our University is represented by the Rector, professor Zbigniew Osadowski, and the Vice-Rector for Development and Cooperation, professor Marek Łukasik.
We are pleased to announce that our application for the project "Mobility of Students and University Staff between Programme and Non-Associated Countries" under the Erasmus+ Programme KA171-2024 call has received a positive decision from the Polish National Agency of the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Solidarity Corps Our application has been approved for implementation, with a maximum funding amounting to 80,919 Euros.
