EEA Grants
The EEA Grants represent the contribution of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway to creating a green, competitive and inclusive Europe.
There are two general objectives: reducing economic and social inequalities in Europe and strengthening bilateral relations between the Donor States and the EU-15 countries in Central and Southern Europe and the Baltic Sea area. The three Donor States cooperate closely with the EU under the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA).
The Education Program, for which the Operator is the Polish National Agency (FRSE), was established under the intergovernmental agreement on the implementation of the EEA Financial Mechanism for 2014-2021, concluded between Iceland, the Principality of Liechtenstein and the Kingdom of Norway, and Poland.
The main objective is to reduce economic disparities and resources in the area of European economic areas, as well as moderate price changes in the area of the European area. Optimization of financial resources (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) in the field of education. Program activities have to strengthen tools and expand knowledge in Poland.
The Programme Objectives are implemented through:
Component 1 – Professional development of staff:
•Study visits aimed at the exchange of experience;
•Intensive training – short training courses organised in Poland by trainers/experts from Donor States.
Component 2 – Mobility in higher education:
•Mobility of students – studies and work placements
•Mobility of HEI staff
Component 3 – Institutional cooperation – Vocational education and training
•Development and updating of the education offer;
•Exchanging experiences and good practices, organization of joint initiatives with Donor State partners
•Development or updating local/regional/national strategies for the development of vocational/sector-specific education and continuing education.
Component 4 – as above, excluding vocational education and training (VET) and vocational continuing education and training.

Education Programme at Akademia Pomorska w Słupsku
As part of the 2019 call for proposals, Akademia Pomorska w Słupsku has received funding to implement mobility with the University of Agder in Kristiansand.
