The Forum brings together representatives of state authorities, institutions responsible for higher education, and academic communities from Poland and Türkiye. Participants include the Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education, Dr. Marcin Kulasek, the President of the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK), professor Erol Özvar, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Poland, Rauf Alp Denktaş, as well as representatives of KRASP, ÜAK, NAWA, FRSE, and rectors and vice-rectors of Polish and Turkish universities.
A key element of the Forum is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of science and higher education by the Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education and the President of YÖK. The event continues the cooperation initiated during the first meeting held in 2025 at Gazi University in Ankara.
The programme includes discussions on joint study programmes, institutional partnerships, academic mobility, the development of international research centres, and cooperation in the fields of social sciences, humanities, medical sciences, natural sciences, and engineering.
The Forum is organized by the University of Gdańsk, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland, the Council of Higher Education in Türkiye (YÖK), the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (KRASP), the Inter-University Council in Türkiye (ÜAK), the “Perspektywy” Educational Foundation, the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), and the Foundation for the Development of the Education System (FRSE).
The participation of representatives of Pomeranian University in Słupsk reflects the University’s ongoing efforts to develop international cooperation and strengthen relations with academic institutions abroad.
