On 27 June 2023 we held an official meeting with our international guests. Samarkand State Medical University was represented  professor Ziyadullaev Shukhrat, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, professor Tangirov Eldor, Vice-Rector for Youth, Clerical and Educational Work, professor Daminov Feruz, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Pedagogy, and Ochilov Ulugbek, the  Scientific Secretary. Our guests were hosted by the Rector of Pomeranian University in Słupsk, professor Zbigniew Osadowski, as well as Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, professor Danuta Gierczyńska, and Vice-Rector for Development and Cooperation, professor Marek Łukasik. The talks concerned, inter alia, student exchange and double degree programmes, as well as staff mobility.   

The guests also met with the Director of the Institute of Health Sciences, took a tour of our University, including, in particular, our Medical Simulation Centre. They also went on a tour around the city, visited the most attractive sites in the Słupsk region and learnt a lot about Polish culture. Our guests reciprocated our hospitality and organised an evening for us, the highlight of which was a pilaf cooked by our guests!
