In connection with the events in Ukraine we hereby submit the statement of the Polish academic community, including the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland that our University is a member of. Pomeranian University in Słupsk expresses its solidarity with Ukraine!
On 8 February 2022, professor Zbigniew Osadowski, Rector of Pomeranian University in Słupsk, hosted a delegation from Kherson State University (KSU), Ukraine, led by the Rector of KSU, Professor Alexander Spivakovsky. The KSU representation also included professor Lyubov Pyetukhova, Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy, and professor Eugeniya Spivakovska.
Last Saturday, our students from Russia and Kazakhstan, realising the Double Degree, Semester Exchange program, as well as regular students majoring in Tourism and Recreation and English philology, had the opportunity to learn the history of the Teutonic Order and visit the largest Gothic castle in Europe - the castle museum in Malbork. They also went sightseeing the old town in Gdańsk.
