Record funds for the development of our University
On Saturday, 2 December 2023, during a press conference at our University, Piotr Müller, the Government Spokesman and a Member of the Polish Parliament announced good news for our academic community.
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki agreed to the proposal of the Rector of Pomeranian University in Słupsk to transfer funds worth 50 million Polish zloty (approx. 11.5 million euro), with the Minister of Education and Science granted another PLN 10 million Polish zloty (approx. 2.3 million euro).
“This is a record 60 million zloty. The highest funds in the history of the university. I am convinced that they will positively influence and ensure even more resilient development," said Minister Piotr Müller.
The Rector, professor Zbigniew Osadowski, the minister on behalf of the entire academic community of our University: “These funds will allow the further development of our University, from renovation and construction activities, to the development of IT infrastructure and our Library, to the development of green areas or the expansion of the Research and Teaching Station in Grzmiąca. The funding will enable our University to become a significant research, development and teaching centre on the national and international map. We want our University to become modern, innovative, professional and open to students and employees. A University where there is room to develop your passions. In the future, we want our University to be a place that evokes even more positive emotions and memories.”
